Our outreach ministries are served primarily through the deacons, Terry Acker and David Blackstone, and focus on serving those in East Texas.
Below, you can find out more about our outreach ministries.
GRACE MEMORIAL FUND
In honor of Emma Grace May, the Grace Memorial Fund was established to reach out to families both within and outside the Shiloh congregation suffering an incomparable loss, the loss of a child. It is the mission of the Grace Memorial Fund to demonstrate God’s love initially by giving a simple gift, a “Grace Box”, while ultimately providing lasting relationships and a network of love.
Opportunities to serve will include prayer, meal preparation, building additional Grace boxes and donations.
To request a Grace Box, or to donate, contact the church office or Erin and Marshall May.
Local Ministries and Shiloh Partners
These are organizations outside of Shiloh that Shiloh helps support.
Bethesda Health Clinic is a Christ-centered ministry that provides affordable, high-quality care for those in need in Smith County, Texas. Shiloh partners with this organization to bring healing and hope to those in need.
Shiloh partners with several other congregations to offer a hot meal at the West Erwin congregation each Monday evening.
PATH’s mission is to serve the economically disadvantaged people in Smith County with both emergency assistance and programs to empower and encourage self-sufficiency.
Shiloh's Engage Ministries
These are ministries that are operated directly by Shiloh members.
Embrace Grace is the first class in the Embrace series. This Bible-based support group welcomes all single mothers, who are pregnant and needing support and community. We are able to bless the mothers with a pampering day for them, as well as a baby shower to help provide for their physical needs with a new baby.
Embrace Life is the second and third class in the Embrace series. We continue to show how much the Lord loves them and that He should be an ever present part in their parenting. The participants are learning every day skills, such as parenting tips, budgeting, and cooking.
Embrace the Journey is the fourth class in Shiloh’s Embrace series. This class is a Bible 101 class that teaches Bible basics and is geared towards those who have graduated from Embrace Life and want to learn more about God’s love.
